Pathways is a Christian not-for-profit organization

that is made possible by the support of churches and individuals who care about LIFE!

"Speak up for those who have no voice"

Proverbs 31:8 CSB

One of the basic fundamentals of

Pathways Unplanned Pregnancy Help Center

is the commitment that:

we do not perform or refer for abortion

OUR VISION

We envision a future in this area with few reported abortions and few teen and unplanned pregnancies; where no one carries the pain of past abortion choices without having heard the message of God’s love and forgiveness; where more choices are made based on knowledge, wisdom and compassion and where no child is aborted because of fear or a lack of resources.

OUR MISSION

Pathways is a faith-based, Jesus centered organization providing services to empower people to make life-affirming and healthy choices regarding pregnancy, sexual, spiritual and relational matters

Our Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through his shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential, and that salvation is received through faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and not as a result of good works.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life and to perform good works.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that all human life is sacred and created by God in His image. Human life is of inestimable worth in all its dimensions, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from conception through natural death. We are therefore called to defend, protect, and value all human life. (Ps 139.)

We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary sexes together reflect the image and nature of God. (Gen 1:26-27.) Rejection of one’s biological sex is a rejection of the image of God within that person.

We believe that the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture. (Gen 2:18-25.)

We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other. (1 Cor 6:18; 7:2-5; Heb 13:4.) We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman.

We believe that in order to preserve the function and integrity of PATHWAYS UPHC as part of the local Body of Christ, and to provide a biblical role model to PATHWAYS UPHC and the community, it is imperative that all persons employed by PATHWAYS UPHC in any capacity, or who serve as volunteers, agree to and abide by this Statement of Faith. (Matt 5:16; Phil 2:14-16; 1 Thess 5:22.)  We believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. (Acts 3:19-21; Rom 10:9-10; 1 Cor 6:9-11.)

We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity. (Mark 12:28-31; Luke 6:31.) Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with Scripture nor the policies of PATHWAYS Unplanned Pregnancy Help Center.

The statement of faith does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe. For purposes of PATHWAYS UPHC’s faith, practice, policy, and discipline, our board of directors is PATHWAYS UPHC’s final interpretive authority on the Bible’s meaning and application.

Statements 1-7 are taken from the National Association of Evangelical’s statement of faith.

Remaining statements are from Alliance Defending Freedom.

Kathy Leamont

Founder/Ministry Advisor

Pathways opened its door for the first time on November 29, 2011.  But like so many of the events that are our landmarks in life, the journey up to that day began much earlier,

God had drawn me into pregnancy center ministry about 7 years earlier and guided me through an invaluable learning process as a volunteer and then Executive Director of an established center.  After leaving there He challenged me to go with Him on the adventure to open Pathways in Kingston!  Throughout the legal process of incorporating and setting up the ministry He led the way, overcame obstacles and showed Himself strong in amazing ways; some might even say miraculous ways.

Our “small beginnings” office was not much bigger than a storage closet, but the women, men and babies that He allowed us to minister to were touched by His love.  There are children living and growing and making their mark on this world because of His faithfulness and the dedication of the volunteers who came along side of me.  They counseled our moms and dads, speaking the truth in love.  They shared God’s love through abortion healing ministry, and offered young people wisdom and tools to help them make good, godly choices in life so that they might have fewer regrets.

The commitment of donors who supported our mission and a Board of Directors guiding, governing and sustaining along the way helped us to influence for the choice for life and support moms, dads and families as we grew out of our “small beginnings” and into a strong organization.

After 10 years of setting up and leading a wonderful group of people who became family in so many ways, the Lord led me to retire, making way for the next steps in His plan for Pathways.

Christina Kuc-Masker

CEO/Executive Director

In the winter of 2021, I found myself praying for God to reveal the next chapter of my life. While sitting in church, I listened to a woman speak of her retirement as Executive Director of Pathways and my husband began to nudge me. "That's for you", he said as I laughed it off, "How could I run a pregnancy center?" I thought. Well after a ton of prayer, I submitted my resume. It wasn't until I was asked for a second interview that it even felt real. I again prayed for God to lead me because in my mind I could never take on a job such as this. The email finally came and I read, "The Board has voted and we would like to offer you the position". Again I took it to God and asked Him what I should do. His response was one I would later hear echoed in Kathy's story a few months later. "I am going to do this, you just have to be willing to obey me".

That was over a year ago and I now can see why God has placed me in such a position. God is using my past as a single mom, as someone who fought with her own demons and through Jesus overcame drug addition, promiscuity and so much more! He uses my testimony to speak life into our clients and guide His ministry as a servant leader.

It is such an honor and a privilege to serve God as He transitions Pathways into a medical center!
